How should I apply tonics or toners to my face?

You may want to use cotton pads that specifically say they are “lint-free” on the package, instead of typical cotton balls. You can find them at most drugstores in the cosmetics section, and they cost about the same. You still may have to deal with some shedding, but it won’t be as bad. As a fast alternative, we would also recommend you try our Post-Shave Repair. It is specially formulated to combat ingrown hairs and calm irritated skin after shaving, without the drying effects of alcohol-based aftershaves. However, it can also be used as a refreshing toner throughout the day. Because it contains skin-softening ingredients like Salicylic Acid, and soothers like Azulene and Aloe, it is gentle enough to clean and moisturize skin no matter when you use it. And the best part is that it is sprayed on the face, so you don’t have to worry about messy residue from cotton balls. Just spray and go. Keep in mind that the Post Shave Repair is primarily for healing irritated, shaved skin and the Advance Face Tonic is meant to cleanse your skin, but it is a nice alternative.
