The Acne Spot Repair contains a high concentration of benzoyl peroxide (10%), which is the active ingredient that dries and clears blemishes. Since this is a highly effective ingredient at this concentration, it might slightly dry the skin around the blemish causing it to turn red and flake. This is a perfectly normal and common.
