New Study: Men’s Antioxidant Supplement Linked to a Longer Life

A men’s antioxidant supplement along with a healthy diet may help you live longer — even if the rest of your habits aren’t exactly healthy.

A new study published by The New York Times found that people who had high blood levels of carotenoids live longer and have a lower risk of dying from heart attack or cancer. Carotenoids — found in orange fruits and vegetables like pumpkin, carrots and sweet potatoes — are converted into vitamin A by the body and are some of the best antioxidants for men. Vitamin A and retinol — its derivative – are key ingredients in many MenScience products like the MenScience Anti-Aging Formula.

In the study, researchers observed more than 15,000  study participants for a 14-year period while monitoring their carotenoid blood levels. Those who had a higher level of carotenoids were likelier to be alive at the end of the study — regardless of  lifestyle habits such as smoking.

Alpha-carotene and beta-carotene are considered two of the most common carotenoids. Aside from helping you live longer, carotenoids also help protect from free radicals that contribute to cancers and skin damage.  MenScience Advanced Antioxidants contains beta-carotene as well as an assortment of other nutrients to boost your defense against free radicals. Combine it with a healthy diet full of bright-colored fruits and veggies, and you may find yourself giving Father Time a run for his money.
