How to Use a Men’s Face Wash in a Men’s Skincare Routine

To start your day off right, use a men’s face wash. It keeps your face fresh while providing your skin with an essential deep clean. By digging deep into pores, a facial cleanser for men gives you a satisfying, fresh feel and clears your face of any buildup and oily residue. To get the most out of your face wash for men, follow this men’s skincare routine.

1. Wet your hands, face and neck with lukewarm water; avoid hot water, which can dry your skin too much.

2.  Squeeze a small amount (1 teaspoon) of men’s face wash onto your hands.

3. Lather up your fingertips by rubbing them together gently.

4. Gently massage with circular motions onto the face and neck. Do this for about 20-30 seconds.

5. Rinse face and neck well with cold water.

6. Follow up with an anti-aging skin cream for men to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging.  Gently spread a small amount of the formula onto clean and dry face.

7. After letting the anti-aging skin cream absorb completely, spread a small amount of a men’s facial moisturizer on your face to lock in moisture. Read “Men’s Face Moisturizer Do’s and Don’ts” for tips on applying men’s face lotion.

8. You can also repeat this routine in the evening to remove impurities and buildup your face may have developed throughout the day.

Additional Tips

Consider an eye cream for men to eliminate eye-area problems like dark circles and undereye bags. Regular application can reduce their appearance and prevent new ones.

– A men’s facial clay cleansing mask can take your men’s skincare routine to the next level by offering a deeper clean.

– Always wash your face after having used a men’s sunscreen.

– When choosing a men’s face cleanser, make sure you choose a gentle one that contains no harsh ingredients like dyes or fragrances. Such ingredients can irritate the skin and cause allergies.

– A face wash that contains glycolic acid can also help your skin shed off dead cells and dull buildup.

– If you tend to have acne breakouts, a great idea is to use a men’s face wash with salicylic acid that can penetrate the pores and dissolve oily residue. Check out “8 Steps to Stop Stress-Related Acne Breakouts” for more acne advice.
